PLA D’ESTUDIS DE SECUNDÀRIA

A l’escola secundària de Hamelin-Laie International School Barcelona seguim el currículum nacional vigent a Espanya però integrant altres contextos internacionals, des del nostre entorn d’aprenentatge internacional d’Espanya. Els estudiants aprenen principalment en anglès, però també entren en contacte amb l’espanyol i el català. Emplenem la motxilla personal de cada estudiant amb habilitats personals i acadèmiques, donant forma i fent aflorar cada talent individual i enriquint les habilitats socials i emocionals.

Treball en equip i investigació basats en projectes

Els estudiants de secundària participen en projectes col·laboratius que reforcen el treball en equip i les habilitats de lideratge, animant-los alhora a adoptar valors com la cooperació, la tolerància i l’assertivitat. Mitjançant projectes en grup, posen en comú les seves idees i creen solucions.

Tots els nostres estudiants són curiosos: aprenen a formular preguntes o hipòtesis que els duen a descobertes inesperades. En àmbits més experimentals, com ara la tecnologia, la biologia, la física o la química, treballen plegats al laboratori per fer-se preguntes i trobar solucions.

Pensament matemàtic

Els estudiants duen a terme diverses experiències pràctiques d’aprenentatge en entorns matemàtics que els animen a comprendre millor els conceptes, a més de connexions per determinar com aquestes idees, funcions i càlculs es troben al món.

Aprenentatge actiu

Posem el focus en la concentració i estimular la intuïció dels estudiants per animar-los a participar activament a les classes, perquè tots participin en experiències i s’impliquin reflexivament amb cada lliçó. Teatre i oratòria

Un altre aspecte emocionant del pla d’estudis de secundària de la nostra escola són les moltes oportunitats per submergir-se en el teatre i l’oratòria. Aquestes classes milloren la memòria, la gestió del temps i les habilitats organitzatives dels estudiants. D’aquest manera també fan créixer la seva resiliència a mida que aborden les dificultats, s’expressen ells mateixos i creen autoconfiança.

Our secondary students love to initiate learning in our community and lead our morning assemblies in English, Spanish, and Catalan. They share their experiences and accomplishments and inform their peers about exciting events to join throughout the week.

Over a delicious, fresh lunch, our students come together and relax in our dedicated secondary ‘chill-out lounge’. They catch up with friends and get refuelled for a busy afternoon of learning – filled with projects that boost their teamwork and collaboration skills.

Inventing the future
Stepping into specialised STEAM challenges set by MIT experts, our students apply their creativity and problem-solving skills throughout the school year. They might reflect on conditions for life in outer space or investigate the brain’s chemistry through neuroscience!
